A report from the Washington Post on Tuesday revealed that Donald Trump has been displaying a framed Trump cover of Time Magazine at several of his golf courses.
Just one thing: That Time Magazine cover is completely fake.

Many may remember those team photos back from Little League where the photography company would give an option of a custom (but fake) Sports Illustrated cover. I know I was all about those back in the day, and well, Sports Illustrated brought that concept back on Tuesday. All for a joke about Trump.
The official account for Sports Illustrated threw a bit of shade at the U.S. president with this tweet.
Put yourself on the cover of SI. We won’t tell anyone it’s fake 😉 pic.twitter.com/XkPt9jkylH

Via the Washington Post:
There was no March 1, 2009, issue of Time Magazine. And there was no issue at all in 2009 that had Trump on the cover.
In fact, the cover on display at Trump’s clubs, observed recently by a reporter visiting one of the properties, contains several small but telling mistakes. Its red border is skinnier than that of a genuine Time cover, and, unlike the real thing, there is no thin white border next to the red. The Trump cover’s secondary headlines are stacked on the right side — on a real Time cover, they would go across the top.
Time Magazine also confirmed to the Post that the cover was fake.
It’s important to note that Sports Illustrated is a TimeInc. property.
