There has been a partisan ratcheting-up of rhetoric over health care by Democrats in the past weeks. Multiple senators and talking heads have suggested that “people will die” if the proposed GOP bill becomes law.
While there is still a great deal to be done concerning the repeal and replacement of Obamacare, and the GOP health care bill is far from a done deal, that accusation language seems alarmist, at best.
Thankfully, we have comedian Remy Munasifi to remind us that literally everything the government does, or does not do, could potentially result in a human death. So “people will die” is a reasonable argument for just about anything, as long as you phrase it correctly.
