“…eight year vacation…”
Former first lady Michelle Obama claimed last month that she faced blatant racism during her time in the White House because of her skin color.
At least one prominent member of the Twitterverse was having none of it.
Upon hearing about the supposed struggles Obama faced as first lady, award-winning actor James Woods shot back on with a tweet aimed at pointing out the size of her White House staff.
What? One personal 747 and 32 assistants weren’t enough for her eight year vacation on your dime? https://t.co/2HsKhWtDcp

“What? One personal 747 and 32 assistants weren’t enough for her eight year vacation on your dime?” Woods tweeted.
The former first lady had been speaking at the Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s (WFCO) 30th anniversary celebration.
After WFCO President and CEO Lauren Casteel mentioned that Michelle Obama had broken a glass ceiling, she asked which of the falling glass shards cut her the most.
“The shards that cut me the deepest were the ones that intended to cut,” Obama responded. “Knowing that after eight years of working really hard for this country, there are still people who won’t see me for what I am because of my skin color.”
Obama claimed that was she experienced was not unique to her.
“Women, we endure those cuts in so many ways that we don’t even notice we’re cut,” she said. “We are living with small tiny cuts, and we are bleeding every single day. And we’re still getting up.”
During her time in the White House, Michelle Obama reportedly had a staff of at least two dozen people.
Meanwhile, Judicial Watch estimated that the Obama family’s travel expenses totaled more than $96 million.
It’s not the first time that Woods, who is well-known for being vocal about his conservative leanings, has blasted the Obamas on Twitter.
In a 2013 tweet, Woods called former President Barack Obama “the gift from hell that keeps on giving.”
