GOP Flocks to Join Dems Attacking Trump Over Protest Comments — But Mike Huckabee Stops Them Cold With One Simple Question

Condemnation of Saturday’s violence at a white nationalist protest rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, continued on both sides of the political aisle on Sunday Morning, while President Donald Trump is among those being condemned.

Former presidential candidate and Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee defended Trump.

The torching of Trump began immediately after he made comments condemning the violence, due to the absence of two words from his comments: “white supremacists.” Moreover, two words he did include served to ignite the outrage even further.

See if you can pick them out:

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence on many sides. On many sides.”

If you chose “many sides,” you’re a winner.

Trump, however, continues to lose in the court of public opinion for failing to single out the white nationalist protesters — even though anti-protest participants could be seen throwing punches and swinging clubs, as well.

During an appearance on “Justice with Judge Jeanine” on Fox News, Saturday night, Huckabee questioned if Trump is being unfairly criticized — by asking a simple question contrasting Trump’s comments with those of former President Barack Obama in the aftermath of acts of violence committed during his presidency.

As reported by Mediaite, Huckabee said Trump is being held to a double-standard:

“And so what is he supposed to say? Is he supposed to do what Barack Obama used to do and jump to conclusion and make a decision like he did in Ferguson. Missouri, which turned out to be totally untrue?

Huckabee defended Trump’s comments, again praising the president for not jumping to conclusions before more facts were made public:

“The president has to be careful in taking steps. I thought what he condemned was what we all could immediately condemn and that was the violence, the car some coward in a car drove into innocent people to try and kill them.

And he condemned that! What else is he supposed to do at that point?”

The driver of the car that plowed into a group of counter-protesters, resulting in the death of a 32-year-old woman and injury to more than a dozen more, was later identified as 20-year-old James Alex Fields Jr., a resident of Ohio.

Fields is being held without bond, pending charges of one count of second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding, and one count of hit and run.

Huckabee told host Jeanine Pirro that Fields should be charged with an act of domestic terrorism, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

if the driver of the car is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for driving down a street and not stopping for protesters will they have to retry the others that have been let off for striking protesters with their cars.

2 conservative groups were to have rallies. One the day before were the hard nose extreme conservatives, the latter, covered by MSM was Saturday, the Constitutionalist. They were met by BLM and ANTIFA, the violent Leftist that want to beat Conservates senseless until they accept their rhetoric as law. And that’s what they got to do. Of course conservative fought back to save themselves from a beat down that was not being watched by cops. They were told to stand down by the Mayor. The only other rally not escorted by police was Berkley. So this was to be a ANTIFA success story, except one of their own drove a car down the wrong street opened by police to strike the Conservatives. A ‘Friendly Fire’ incident occurred. The driver was ANTIFA, the victims were to be Conservatives. Divine Intervention?
