Democrat governor of Louisiana John Bel Edwards made a statement about President Donald Trump that Trump-hating leftists do not want anyone to hear.
On Tuesday, Edwards appeared on CNN’s “New Day,” and told host Chris Cuomo that the federal government’s response to the devastation of Hurricane Harvey in his state has been “excellent” and also credited President Donald Trump for his quick action to the situation.
“Well, first of all, let me tell you the federal government has been excellent,” Edwards said when asked what he’s anticipating in terms of need.
“The president has called twice. He signed the declaration we requested within a few hours of our making the request on Sunday evening. Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Duke has been wonderful and FEMA administrator Brock has been great as well,” Edwards explained.
Last Friday during a press briefing, Edwards said that the president had called him Thursday about conditions in Louisiana. ”He wanted to make sure that any requests for assistance from the federal government were being met,” Edwards said according to The Times-Picayune.

Considering that liberals and the mainstream media want to focus on things like the fact the first lady wore stiletto heels on her way to visit Texas, the left is no doubt indignant that one of their own would point out something positive the president is doing.
Kudos to the Louisiana governor for putting partisan politics aside and shooting straight about the timeliness and effectiveness of the Trump administration;s response to those affected by the terrible storm. President Trump cares about everyday Americans, and that is becoming more clear everyday.
