U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley revealed an interesting fact on Wednesday when pressed by ABC News on whether it’s “appropriate” for President Donald Trump to refer to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un as “Rocket Man.”
“Do you think it’s appropriate to use a term like ‘Rocket Man’ to talk about a leader of another country who’s got nuclear weapons?” ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos asked.
“I’ll tell you, George, it worked. I was talking to a president of an African country yesterday, and he actually cited ‘Rocket Man’ back to me,” Haley responded.

Haley argued Trump’s nickname is a “way of getting people to talk about him.” She also claimed “everybody in the international community” is now calling the dictator “Rocket Man.”
During his first speech to the United Nations General Assembly, Trump threatened to “totally destroy” North Korea if necessary.
“Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime,” Trump said. “The United States is ready, willing, and able, but hopefully, this will not be necessary.”
